教学设计说明

本节课的课题为“WALT DISNEY”,这节课的教学目的是:让学生初步了解DISNEY的生平,通过不同的练习,掌握文章的内容,用学过的语言点和知识点描述自己喜欢的动画形象。

初二的英语学生的听说读写都有一定的要求,因此,我设计了相应的教学环节来落实本节课的知识点。

1.听课文回答问题

这一教学环节的设计帮助学生能在短时间内掌握课文的基本大意,同时教师也可以得到及时的教学反馈。并且,在此教师以三种不同的形式检查,减少的枯燥感。

2.就课文内容进行生生活动(提问、回答)

此环节要求的是学生之间的互动,给予学生一定的活动空间,也给了他们进一步了解课文,熟悉课文的时间,同时也无形的复习了学过的四种不同的问句,再由同学请同学回答,在一定程度上活跃了课堂气氛。

3.与课文内容相关的听力练习

这一听力材料由教师从课外选取,但内容与课文紧密相关,讲述了米老鼠的七十五岁生日和他的诞生,内容虽然不难,但给了同学课外的知识。

DISNEY的卡通是学生很感兴趣的话题,因此,在课的末尾处设计了两个拓展的内容,以培养学生的英语表达能力;

1.   自述喜爱的卡通形象

要求学生课前绘画喜欢的卡通形象,在课上将他们介绍给同学。这不仅让学生有机会去看一些动画片,还可以让他们学着去用英语表达。这一环节也是对学生进行爱国主义教育的良好手段,通过中国的卡通形象宏扬我国的民族文化。

2.   为动画片配音

这是一项难度较高的活动,但可以较好的培养同学的英语思维和即时表达。对学生英语的运用有一定的效果。

                                     

Teaching target:

1.      Knowledge:

(1)   Review some words’ English meanings

(2)   Use some certain words to describe a cartoon characters

(3)   Learn something about Disney’s life

2.      Ability:

(1) Encourage students to use their own words to express their opinions

   (2) Let students have the ability of how to discuss with others and cooperate together

3.  Mood:

(1) Let students to find out some Chinese good cartoon characters

(2) Catch some information about a success person

 

Teaching steps:

I.                   Revision

1.      Answer questions according to the passages

(1)   When did dinosaurs live on earth

(2)   Are all dinosaurs as gentle as sheep?

(3)   What do we know about the life of dinosaurs?

(4)   What is Diogenes?

(5)   What did he teach?

2.       Give the English meanings of some words

 

II.                Teach and learn new passage

T:  Please watch some pieces of cartoon films, then answer my questions

(watch cartoon films)

Questions: What cartoon characters can you see in the film?

         Which firm produced these cartoon films?

         Is Walt Disney the name of a person of a place?

T:  Maybe some students know only a little about Disney’s life, today we will learn about it. First you will listen to the tape of the first paragraph then answer questions.

    (Listen to the tape)

    Question:   Where is Disneyland? Can we find one in China?

               Who created the Disneyland?

               When Disney died, what was his age?

T:  Then we will listen to the second paragraph, then tell the following sentences are true of false

    (Listen to the tape)

    Sentences:   Walt Disney was born in China.  Where was he born?

                He studied art at night.

                At daytime, he bought newspaper and delivered mail.

T:  Now we will listen to the last paragraph.

   (Listen to the tape)

     Choose the best answer:

1. What is Walt’s famous cartoon character?

        A. Snoopy   B. Mickey Mouse   C. Monkey King

2. Disney drew Mickey from _______.

        A. a real mouse  B. a toy mouse  C. a cartoon mouse

3.  ______ became a star. _____ became rich and famous.

        A. Walt, Mickey   B. Mickey, Walt   C. Snow White, Walt

T:  Please open your books and read the passage with the tape together

    (whole class listen and read the passage)

T:  Now we will do some exercises.

(1)   Match the words and their English meanings

(2)   Students ask and answer questions according to the passage

(3)   Listening

 

III.             Think and describe cartoon characters

T:  I know you like to watch cartoon films. So do I. You know many interesting cartoon characters, yesterday I asked you to draw the character which you like best. Now please show your picture and introduce it to your classmates.

    (students show and say something about their cartoon characters)

 

IV.              Discuss and make dialogue

T:  Now you will watch a piece of “Lion King”, then four students make dialogue according to the film.

    (students watch and discuss)

 

V.                 Homework

    Use the encyclopedia and the internet, collect the information about the famous person

 

教学后记

    本节课的课题是“WALT DISNEY”,这是初中学生非常熟悉和喜欢的内容,我在课堂内设计的分段学习课文内容,通过提问,判断正误和选择的方式帮助同学更好的掌握课本知识,利用不同的方法教授课文,照顾到了不同层面的学生,让每个学生都有机会发言,都有获得成功的喜悦。

    本节课中不但要求学生了解掌握课本上的段落内容,而且让学生了解与课文相关,但又是课外的内容,拓展了学生的知识面,这对于有一定学习能力的同学来说是一次很好的练习听力的机会,大家都感到非常有趣,也很容易获得成功。

    在本节课的后半程,我设计了两个以学生为主的教学内容,即配合图片描述自己最喜欢的卡通形象和为动画片配音。前一个活动对于每个学生都能做到有话可说,也是学生十分感兴趣的主题,做到了人人参与,成为课堂的主体,尽管在表达的过程中会出现一些语法和词汇上的错误,但学生这种积极、敢于表达的精神是值得鼓励的。为卡通片配音是一项难度较高的活动,同学平时没有如此的机会,此环节的设计给学生一个挑战自我的机会,发挥想象力的平台,用自己的语言为影片配音,同学都能很好的参与。
